There’s a storm above my head,
There’s thunder booming.
Its loud; too loud,
I cover my ears,
There’s no rescuing.
Nobody seems close,
Nobody seems to hear in this uproar.
My trivial pleas for help are drowned,
As the clouds above,
go on with their war.
The waves are crashing,
And my boat is barely staying afloat.
It topples and I’m plunged into darkness,
And down, down I drown,
into the sea of helplessness.
I’m lost at sea,
Flailing and gasping for breath.
I look around, it’s scary,
cause I know I’m drowning,
But it is all in my head.
